Prof. O.G OshodinLet me welcome you all to the 23rd edition of the NUGA (Nigeria University Games Association) games, holding at this great institution of ours, the University of Benin. This edition will be the best of it's kind to hold in years to come, given to the fact that the vice chancellor is a seasoned sports administrator and one time president of NUGA.

It is a truism that sport is an important component in the total education of the individual, hence the institution of the NUGA games in 1966 as a biennial event where students from all the Universities in the country come together to compete for laurels in different sports.

This years edition tagged UniBen 2011 will no doubt be different and special in many respect. All hands are on deck to make sure that this 23rd edition remains memorable for many years to come.
